Kindergarten

The earliest years in a child’s education are the most impactful. The program features three themes: exploration, connection, and motivation. Our Kindergarten program provides students with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy and a head start on the skills, knowledge, and strategies they require to enjoy school and engage successfully in Grade 1.   Effective beginning the 2020-2021 school year, the age of entry for Kindergarten has changed. As to comply with provincial legislation Bill 28: School Amendment Act 2017, the new legislation establishes a common age of entry for kindergarten across all school boards in the province. Effective in the 2020-21 school year, children must turn five by Dec. 31 of the current school year in order to enrol in Kindergarten that fall. For more information, please review Section 30 (page 4) of the School Amendment Act.
