Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink

Calgary Academy has once again been selected as a charity of choice for Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink, a non-profit program under the Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation. This program is designed to help raise new funds for local charities, engage the community in the tournament, and provide matching funds for each charity involved.

This initiative has become a cornerstone of Calgary Academy’s fundraising efforts, allowing us to make significant strides in enhancing the educational experience for our students year after year.

This year, we’re excited to share that the funds raised will go towards the launch of our new Foods and Culinary Arts program starting this fall. This program will offer our students a unique opportunity to explore their passion for culinary arts, providing them with practical skills and experiences.

Legacy Award

Originally established by the graduating class of 2020, the Legacy Fund supports a graduate who exemplifies the qualities of REACH. Additional funds raised will allow the award to continue be given out to future graduating years as an ongoing legacy for the Class of 2020.

In the summer of 2023, our Junior Science lab was transformed into a vibrant new learning space with the support of Calgary Academy’s donors and Shaw Birdies for Kids Presented by AltaLink! Our teaching staff, including science teacher and CA alumni (’11), Ms. McLeod, played an essential role in the consultation and design process.
