Transportation information automatically rolls over from year to year. If your family has moved, please make sure you update your information. Each year, we ask parents to double-check their information and make any necessary updates to provide accurate and efficient busing.

  • If you’re new to transportation: Indicate you need bus service during enrolment and we’ll contact you in early August with your route and stop information.
  • If you already use transportation: Renew by logging in to SchoolAdmin to sign your contract and pay the fees for the upcoming year.

Calgary Academy and First Student re-design all routes over the summer to account for changing student demographics. First Student will try to email the routes to parents by the third to fourth weeks of August.

We plan routes to limit the number of stops in each community and total ride time. In some cases, students may be picked up at a common location within their community. Junior and Senior School students in the same area may share a central stop to improve efficiency.

Category I: Morning pick-up is typically no earlier than 7:00 a.m., arriving between 8:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.  Afternoon rides may take up to 75 minutes.

Category II: Morning pick-up is typically no earlier than 6:45 a.m., with an average ride time of 90 minutes. Afternoon rides may take up to 120 minutes.

Weather, traffic, and road conditions can affect these times.

Use the Bus Status App to track delays, cancellations, or changes in real time.

If your community is not listed, transportation is not available. Families may choose to drive students to a common pick-up location in a serviced community if space and route timing allow.

Contact our Transportation Coordinator with any questions.

Transportation fees vary depending on whether you choose one-way or two-way service, the number of children, and any additional stops. You can view the current costs and payment options on our Transportation Fees page.

Yes. We provide transportation to all Calgary Academy students through First Student, with routes serving all four quadrants of Calgary (with limited service to NE Calgary) and Rocky View County. Refer to the Communities We Serve section on this page.

Bus routes are redesigned each year to ensure safety and efficiency.
