Comprised of Grades 5-12 Calgary Academy Skiers and Snowboarders who are excelling at their sport and would like additional training, during school hours, to increase their skill and time on the snow.

Our Mission

CASSC improves the skiing and snowboarding abilities of CA students by maximizing their on-snow training during school hours to create life-long athletes and advocates of the sport.

Our Program

We offer LTAD (Long Term Athletic Development) on snow training to CASSC Athletes (Grade 6 – 9 Calgary Academy Students) in:

All Mountain Skiing & Riding

Our focus is to improve the skiing and riding abilities of our athletes by exposing them to varied all mountain terrain. Our highly trained coaches work with athletes to improve all facets of big mountain riding and skiing.

Avalanche Awareness

Working in conjunction with Lake Louise ski patrol avalanche professionals from the safety of in-bounds terrain, students explore conditions that would be favourable for avalanches, avoidance techniques and best practices.

Technical Free-Skiing & Riding

Our coaching staff has a vast amount of knowledge in technical skiing and riding which is directly passed on to our athletes through guided practice and drill-based improvement strategies.

Moguls

Both natural and man-made, our coaching staff teach fall line skiing and speed control when navigating through these features.
