Minimizing Ride Times

Calgary Academy strives to reduce ride times by designing routes that limit the number of communities and stops.

Route Design

Routes are planned to minimize the number of communities and stops.

Single-Stop Communities

If your child is the only stop in a community, parents may need to drive to a common pick-up in a nearby area. In the afternoon, these students will normally be dropped off at home.

Shared Stops

Junior and Senior High students may be asked to walk up to 1 km to a common pick-up location.

Route Changes

Once bus routes are set, changes will only be made if they do not affect overall ride times.
