What are your instructional hours?

During regular school days from Monday to Thursday, our instructional hours are from 8:20 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Fridays are shorter, running on a compressed schedule of 8:20 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Do students require uniforms?

No, Calgary Academy does not have required uniforms for students. We encourage students to wear what makes them feel most comfortable as long as it aligns with our dress code. You can learn more about our dress code by reading our Family Handbook.

What is REACH?

REACH (respect, enthusiasm, altruism, commitment, and honesty) is a word to live and work by and is incorporated into our daily activities. It is the core principle that guides how staff and students interact with each other.

Students are encouraged to act REACH-like during the school day, and we celebrate this positive behaviour.

How do I report an absence?

Calgary Academy uses an automated attendance system for the entire school.

You will receive an email notification if your child is marked absent or late. You can easily report an absence for your child by emailing attendance or calling 403.686.6444 (press 1 for attendance).

Please notify us if your child will be absent, arriving late, or leaving early.
