Instruction extends beyond the classroom in Blended+. Through real-world applications of learning, purpose and meaning are enhanced while meeting curriculum outcomes. Blended+ brings experiential learning off-site into our larger community for both academic and physical education activities. These shared experiences help to develop a community of learners who are connected to experts and networks outside of the school.

Some types of learning, like science labs, are simply better in person. Scheduled in-person interactive learning on campus and/or off-site takes place each Wednesday. Time on campus engages students in projects, labs, seminars, collaborative learning, debates, and other active learning experiences. It’s also where secured tests or exams will take place.

Hybrid synchronous learning takes place in real-time. Daily interactive lessons are led by teachers via Microsoft Teams four mornings a week. Students can learn from home, in another location with internet access, or choose to attend these online sessions in our classroom.  Teachers provide lessons, explanations, and examples; engage students in learning activities; and conduct formative assessments to check for understanding.
